SUPER LAST MINUTE decided to purchase tickets to Bestival even though it took away half my bank account so I’ll probably lose a lot of weight this month because I’ll be starving myself (I’m currently accepting donations).
But this is my first festival ever so that should be okay right? 😉 #ShitISayToFeelBetter
Only decided to go for 1 day because let’s be real, if I went for two days I might as well live on the streets #AintNobodyGotMoneyForDat.
2. PORTABLE CHARGER
If you’re like me and your snapchat is annoying af with festival music, you definitely need to bring a portable charger to help with your dying battery (stupid iPhone 5… also accepting donations for a new phone as well)
3. EMPTY WATER BOTTLE
The number of times I’ve had to fill water bottles is countless. You definitely need this b/c water is expensive there, people!!!
5. SPRAY-ON DEODORANT
So we all sweated buckets and good thing we had our spray-on deodorant (that way you can share with other people) so we were good for the whole day ;). I also brought a roll-on perfume so that kept us fresh the whole day too!
Shoutout to Anni, Cindy, Emily, and Adrian for being there for my first festival experience <3. I loved that there was so much to do! There was a parade, a bunch of food trucks (even though we didn’t get our ice-cream… #sosad), and activities (bouncy castle?).
It was the first Thursday of the month… YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS 😛 just kidding this is probably the last time I’m going this summer. This time, Kristina and I went with my roomies Rachel & Helen! 😀
There was also a promo going on by ABSOLUT right outside the AGO so we took some pictures with these pretty unicorns 😛
& my beautiful friends Helen, Kristina, and Rachel (that Oxford comma doe)
Got tickets to Oak + Fort’s after hours event! It was a really nice intimate shopping event and we even got 15% off! 🙂
Went to eat at Gusto 101 the other day to celebrate my friend Eric’s birthday #HappyBirthdayYouWeirdo! Eric came ALLLLLLLLLLL the way from Vancouver. He claims that he came here to tour around but LET’S BE REAL he missed me and flew right on over. Just kidding, he was on a vacation with his girlfriend. Btw I think this is a great time to mention that I’m a professional third-wheeler so if you’re looking for someone to third-wheel your date, I’m always looking for opportunities! You can find me on LinkedIn but if you would like more details, let me know and I can forward you my resume or we can set up a chat #Networking101.
ANYWAY… more on the topic of this restaurant.
The three of us only ordered three plates to share because the two of them ate beforehand (why would you do that). Overall the food is AMAZING… just look at how happy I am (below).
Here’s what we ordered:
Okay so just to let y’all know this place has a co-ed washroom. I found out because the minute I came out of the stall there was a guy washing his hands. We both looked at each other like “OMFG OMGO OMGOMG I F*#&$ED UP” and he literally looked at every stall and it was marked “W” (for women, FYI) until he saw the one stall labeled “M” and we both laughed and talked about it later. Btw, he admitted to me that even if it was a ladies room he still would have finished drying his hands #madrespect.
Overall, I loooooooved this place and I’m definitely going to go back to grab drinks (and food of course). Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto so you have to try it!!
& shoutout to Eric because it was his birthday
